Donald Glover ganó su primer Emmy hacienda historia como el primer afroamericano en ganar el Emmy a Mejor Director por Atlanta.

Sterling Brown ganó el premio a Mejor Actor en Drama por su trabajo en la aclamada This is us y el creador de Bladk Mirror, Charlie Booker, ganó el galardón a mejor guion y mejor TV Film por el capítulo de San Junipero.
